Professional biography

Nazerke Zhumakhanova obtained her bachelor’s degree in 2013 and master’s degree in 2016 from the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) in the field of Energy and Oil and Gas Industry, specializing in “Oil and Gas Engineering.”

From 2013 to 2016, she worked as the manager of the Petroleum Engineering department at KBTU.

From 2016 to 2021, she served as a lecturer in the “Petroleum Engineering” department at the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Engineering named after K. Turysov at the Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev.

From 2017 to 2019, she held the position of Deputy Director Institute of Geology and Petroleum Engineering named after K. TurysovKazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev.

In December 2024, she earned a Master’s degree in Engineering with a specialization in “Petroleum Engineering” from the University of Texas at Austin, USA.

Her research interests include enhanced oil and gas recovery in unconventional reservoirs, reservoir modeling, carbon capture and storage (CCS and CCUS).

Publications: Title: “Enhanced Oil Recovery in the Late Development Stage,” Scientific-Practical Journal “AlPari,” 2015, co-authored by S.Z. Kabdulov and D.U. Alshimbayeva.
