AP22682919 "Scientific and technical basis for monitoring the use of polymer flooding to increase oil recovery in the fields of the Republic of Kazakhstan"

Relevance

The decrease in reservoir productivity and the high heterogeneity of reservoirs in many oil and gas fields in Kazakhstan requires the introduction of new effective technologies to increase oil recovery. The use of flow-deflecting polymer systems makes it possible to control the direction of filtration flows, which is especially important for increasing oil recovery in difficult geological and physical conditions.

Purpose

The aim of the project is to increase the efficiency of methods for applying flow-deflecting technologies based on polymer solutions in various geological and physical conditions.

Expected and achieved results

The research on the development of oil fields using polymer solutions is analyzed and the choice of methods for increasing the effectiveness of their application is justified. The influence of geological and geophysical parameters of the reservoir and its filling fluids on the oil recovery coefficient is analyzed. Novelty - the effectiveness of long-term application of polymer flooding by analytical methods has been evaluated.
