Halyk Academy Laboratory of Satbayev University

The Halyk Academy Laboratory was established in 2023 at the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies and represents a modern innovative educational environment. The laboratory was opened as part of the partnership between Satbayev University and Halyk Bank and is aimed at developing IT competencies, training highly qualified specialists, and creating a professional ecosystem for students.

The main mission of Halyk Academy is to provide students with access to modern digital technologies, practical knowledge, and tools used in the largest financial and technological systems of the country. The laboratory serves as a space for learning, project activities, creative development, and interaction with IT experts.

Key areas of activity:

·         delivering lectures, practical classes, and master classes by specialists from the IT departments of Halyk Bank in programming, data analysis, and digital solution development;

·         implementing educational programs aligned with the technological stack of Halyk Bank, enabling students to work with real tools and technologies;

·         involving students in academic, research, and project activities related to the development and implementation of modern IT solutions;

·         supporting student IT clubs, including the Game Developers Club, video game development communities, and other creative tech clubs;

·         preparing students for competitions such as ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest), as well as national and international programming Olympiads;

·         creating conditions for the development of personal projects, knowledge exchange, teamwork, and engineering thinking;

·         organizing student internships in the IT departments of Halyk Bank, providing practical experience and deeper understanding of modern financial and technological systems;

·         conducting workshops, master classes, and career meetings with leading developers and analysts of the bank.

Halyk Academy contributes to the formation of a professional IT community at Satbayev University by bringing together students, faculty, and experts to jointly develop digital competencies and address technological challenges.
