School of transport engineering and logistics named after M. Tynyshpayev

Among the first universities of Kazakhstan in 2010 KazNRTU named after K.I.Satbayev (Satbayev University) started training specialists on Bachelor's and Master's degree in Logistics.

The first graduation of bachelor and master logisticians took place in 2014.

Currently, more than 200 graduates of the university work in various sectors of the economy, transportation services and logistics.

Due to the increased demand for specialists in the field of logistics and transportation organization, the Department of Logistics was established in 2021.

In 2023, the Department of Logistics became a part of the newly established School of Transportation Engineering and Logistics named after M. Tynyshpayev.

School of Transport Engineering and Logistics named after M. Tynyshpayev trains specialists at three levels of education.

Course of logistics also trains bachelor students on a shortened program based on secondary education and higher education by distance learning (study period of 3 years).

Practitioners with extensive experience in logistics and business analytics are involved in the educational process:

Mission: training of comprehensively educated and creative specialists in the field of logistics and transportation services.

Intership

The work on employment begins when students undergo practical training, when students are directly at the enterprise and acquire practical skills.

 The most effective in this sense is production practice II (7 weeks), after which employers make decisions on the subsequent employment of students.

Bachelor's degree students undergo industrial practice in the following companies:

- Kazakhstan Institute of Industry Development" LLP

An effective form of work with employers is business correspondence, conclusion of agreements on cooperation and practical training, presentations of materials of enterprises in conversations with students. One of the effective ways of employment of graduates is holding such an event as "Job Fair" at Satbayev University.

Scientific research

The teaching staff of the logistics direction participates in the competitions of grant financing and commercialization of scientific projects of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan

At present the research work on the theme IRN BR21882292 "Integrated development of sustainable construction industry: innovative technologies, optimization of production, efficient use of resources and creation of technological park" for the period from October 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025, is being carried out. The research group includes the head of the EP Mukhanova G., Prof. Bekzhanova S., associate Prof. Bolatkyzy S., doctoral students Li M., Yusupova K. and Tolkynbek N.

  The teaching staff publishes articles in rating journals indexed in SCOPUS database, in journals recommended by CQASHE MSHE RK and conferences.

Students' research and development work

Every year we organize the International Student Logistics Olympiad. The Olympiad is a great opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge, compete and learn new things from experts in the field of logistics.

We support active participation of our students in international and national logistics Olympiads, namely:

- International Logistics Olympiad, Volgograd branch of Plekhanov Russian Economic University. (Volgograd, Russia);

- International Student Olympiad "Logistics and Supply Chain Management" within the framework of the All-Russian Festival "Science 0+", State University of Railways and Messages (Novosibirsk, Russia).

- Youth Forum of Transport Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by the Union of Transport Workers "KazLogistics».

- Republican Student Olympiad of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the educational program "Logistics".

Double-diploma educational programs

The school implements double-diploma educational programs with foreign universities:

At the bachelor's degree level, a double-diploma educational program is implemented with Xi'an Railway Vocational and Technical Institute (Xi'an, China) according to the 2+2 scheme (the first two courses - study in Xi'an, the 3rd and 4th courses - study in Satbayev University)

At the master’s course, a two-diploma educational program with the Silesian University of Technology (Katowice, Poland) is implemented. The first graduation under this program took place in 2023.
