Student practice of the General Physics department

The Department of General Physics closely monitors the employment of graduates. The department regularly monitors with potential employers and tries to take into account their wishes and recommendations for the training of future specialists. Therefore, adjustments are constantly made to the training programs taking into account potential employers . Currently, the department works together with the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Almaty. Which is located at Ibragimova Street, 1​1 floor Alatau mn, Medeu district, Almaty.

The Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the only scientific organization in Kazakhstan in the nuclear industry that carries out a full cycle of research and development work (R&D), engaged in fundamental and applied research, and the production of radioisotopes. The Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the KazSSR was created on the basis of the Physico-Technical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the KazSSR on July 25, 1957. In the same year, a settlement was formed at the institute, in 1965 classified as an urban settlement and named Alatau The initiators of the creation of the INP were the President of the Academy of Sciences of the KazSSR , academician K.I. Satpayev . Starting from the 2023-2024 academic year, the Department will be preparing specialists in the field of Nuclear Energy under the educational program 6B07129 - "Nuclear Energy," and the main practical training of students will be conducted at the Institute of Nuclear Physics. To teach special disciplines the educational program 6B07129 - Nuclear Energy, the department plans to attract current Institute of Nuclear Physics research scientists as teachers . This will make it possible to introduce the most modern results of scientific research into teaching and provide a high-quality and up-to-date understanding of the problems and tasks of nuclear physics.
