AP22684080 "Development of technology for enrichment of tin-containing weathering cores of the Syrymbet rare metal deposit"

Relevance

The project is relevant due to the need for effective development of tin—containing weathering cores at the Syrymbet deposit, one of the largest tin deposits in Kazakhstan. The development of technologies for processing these hard-to-enrich ores will ensure the involvement of significant tin reserves in production, which is of strategic importance for the country.

Purpose

The purpose of this project is to develop a technology for the enrichment of tin-containing weathering cores at the Syrymbet deposits. To evaluate their technological properties and obtain technological parameters for designing an industrial complex for ore processing.

Expected and achieved results

The scientific novelty is to obtain an industrial tin concentrate with a content of 3 to 7.5% from tin-containing clay crust that has undergone weathering, which will have a marketable value. This concentrate can be further processed by the hydrometallurgical method at the deposit during the construction of plants. To achieve this goal, we use granulometric analysis to determine the distribution of tin in the material. Then enrich each grain class using gravity devices such as a screw separator and centrifugal devices.
