AP23489821 "Geological, geochemical, and microthermometric studies of oil and gas generating formations and the forecast of new resources on the southeastern side of the Caspian syneclise and the Ural Mugodzhars"
Relevance
The study of organic matter, oils, as well as their host rocks of the southeastern side of the Caspian sedimentary basin and the Sakmar Mugodjar zone, based on the use of a set of methods, including petrographic, chromatographic studies of organic matter, liquid inclusions in crystals, oils and rocks.
Purpose
The aim of the work is to determine the paleothermobaric regimes, the main foci of generation and the directions of migration flows of hydrocarbon compounds, the patterns of distribution of promising oil and gas accumulation zones within the southeastern side of the Caspian syneclise and Sakmar, Zilair Mugodzhar zones of the Southern Urals.
Expected and achieved results
During the research, geodynamic and sedimentological models of the Upper Paleozoic complex of the eastern and southeastern flanks of the Pre-Caspian syncline and the Mugodzhary zone of the Southern Urals were developed. Based on the conducted studies, the potential main oil and gas-producing strata were identified and characterized, allowing conclusions to be drawn about the potential of hydrocarbon resources in these areas. Additionally, core and rock samples were collected, systematized, and prepared for further laboratory analyses, which will provide more accurate data on the composition and properties of the studied objects. These results are an important step in further geological exploration work and can serve as the basis for developing more precise strategies for the exploration and development of oil and gas fields.
