The use of remote sensing methods simplifies and reduces the cost of geological exploration in hard-to-reach and remote locations, significantly narrowing the search range for expensive ground operations
Purpose
The aim of the project is to develop predictive prospecting technology for geological mapping of ore deposits based on remote sensing methods.
Expected and achieved results
The scientific novelty of this program lies in the integrated use of a variety of methods and data, including geological, geophysical, and aerospace from multi- and hyperspectral sensors into one comprehensive search model, which allows us to develop a unique solution for geological mapping and narrowing the search range when developing new deposits. Key results for 2024: -A database of remote, geological, geophysical and cartographic data collected using field measurements and satellite data. A set of spectral libraries created for the analysis of minerals using field and remote data. A method has been developed for decoding multispectral data using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to isolate various types of rocks based on their composition.
