Relevance

The creation of a high-precision geoid model for Kazakhstan is not only of great scientific importance, but also economically beneficial, as it will allow replacing complex and expensive geometric leveling methods with simpler and more accessible GNSS methods.

Purpose

Creation of a local geoid model based on a combination of gravimetric, astronomical and geodetic data, global geopotential models and digital terrain models.

Expected and achieved results

Creating an up-to-date geoid model in Kazakhstan is an extensive scientific, technical, research and applied task aimed at developing an accurate and modern system for determining coordinates and heights in the country.
