Professional biography

Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor. Place of employment: K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University, Associate Professor of the Department of Materials Science, Nanotechnology and Engineering Physics. She is a highly qualified specialist in the fields of materials science, nanotechnology, and environmental engineering. Her scientific interests lie at the intersection of materials science and environmental engineering and include: – synthesis and activation of carbon materials from agro-industrial waste, optimisation of porous structure (micro/meso) and surface chemistry for sorption of organic and inorganic pollutants; – functional modification of activated carbons to enhance acid–base and redox active sites; – catalytic growth of carbon nanotubes from natural gas on iron-based catalysts, including precursor design, stabilisation of active particles, and morphology control; – development of sorption materials for efficient removal of micro- and nano-plastic particles from natural and wastewater systems.

Education

In 2001, she was admitted to the Faculty of Chemistry of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, majoring in Chemical Technology of Explosives and Pyrotechnic Means (full higher education, 5 years). She graduated with honors in 2006. From 2006 to 2009, she pursued postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Chemistry of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. On July 2, 2010, she defended her dissertation entitled “Porous Carbon Nanostructured Sorbents for Biomedical Applications, and on December 25, 2010, she was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Chemical Sciences in the speciality 01.04.17 — Chemical Physics, including Combustion and Explosion Physics.

Scientific projects

She is currently the principal investigator of the project AP22786556 “Development of Porous Nanosorbents from Bio-Waste for Efficient Sorption of Toxic Gases.” She is the author of more than 80 scientific publications, holds 5 patents, and has authored over 6 textbooks and teaching manuals.
