Professional biography

Rosa Serikovna Makhashova holds a Master’s degree in Humanities and is a specialist in philology and academic administration with extensive experience in higher education. She has over 30 years of administrative and academic experience within the higher education system and 15 years of teaching experience. Currently, she serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Kazakh and Russian Languages at Satbayev University.

Her professional activity combines language instruction with university-level academic management. She possesses substantial experience in academic planning, administration, monitoring of educational programs, and organizing the educational process for large student cohorts. Over the years, she has held various leadership and managerial positions, including Chief Manager for Academic Planning, Chief Manager for Academic Administration, and Head of the Department for Planning and Monitoring the Educational Process.

Within her professional responsibilities, she has been involved in strategic management of academic processes, coordination of faculties and departments, schedule optimization, digitalization of academic procedures, and preparation of documentation for accreditation and evaluation processes. As a lecturer, she has been teaching the Kazakh language for 15 years.

For her significant achievements in academic, pedagogical, and organizational activities, she has been awarded multiple Certificates of Honor by Satbayev University. In 2024, she received the Medal “For Contribution to University Development.” In 2025, she was awarded a Certificate of Honor for her substantial contribution to the development of the national higher education system, her dedicated work in the quality training of youth, her role in fostering spiritual and moral values, and her active participation in public life.

Education

In 1996, she graduated from Zhezkazgan University named after O.A. Baikonurov with a degree in “Russian Language and Literature in National Schools,” receiving the qualification of a teacher of Russian language and literature. During her studies, she acquired expertise in teaching methodology of the Russian language, pedagogy, psychology, development of teaching and methodological materials, and working with bilingual students.

In 2015, she completed her studies at Taraz State University named after M.Kh. Dulaty in the specialty 6M020500 “Philology” (Kazakh Language and Literature), earning a Master of Humanities degree. During her master’s program, she studied modern trends in philological research, methodology of teaching the Kazakh language, linguistic text analysis, academic writing, and development of educational and methodological complexes. She successfully defended her master’s thesis and participated in scientific seminars and conferences in the field of Kazakh philology.
