AP22683184 "Investigation of circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases"
Relevance
With the increasing number of neurodegenerative diseases, the need for effective methods of their early diagnosis is increasing. The use of circulating microRNAs as noninvasive biomarkers opens up prospects for the detection of diseases at the preclinical stage, which makes it possible to start treatment in a timely manner, slow down the progression and reduce the burden on the healthcare system.
Purpose
To study circulating microRNA molecules as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases
Expected and achieved results
Information has been collected on microRNA molecules with increased or decreased differential expression in neurodegenerative disorders. A list of genes associated with neurodegenerative disorders has been compiled. A collection of plasma samples from the blood of patients with neurodegenerative disorders and healthy people (control group) is being formed.
