Professional biography
Kuanysh Almabekovich Abzhaparov entered the Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev in 2004. In 2009, he graduated with a degree in Instrument Engineering. In the same year, he was admitted to the Master’s program in the same specialty. In 2011, he successfully completed his Master’s degree with honors and began his professional career as an Assistant at the Department of Robotics and Technical Means of Automation.
In 2013, he entered doctoral studies, and in 2016 he successfully defended his dissertation, earning the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Automation and Control.
Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Automation and Control of the Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev. His total uninterrupted teaching experience is 13 years.
Associate Professor Kuanysh Almabekovich Abzhaparov is a young researcher whose scientific interests are focused on automation, mechatronics, and robotics. He is actively engaged in scientific research, combining fundamental studies with the solution of applied problems:
served as project leader and principal investigator in a number of research projects aimed at addressing relevant issues in automation, robotics, and energy;
2013–2014 – scientific supervisor of the project “Development of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for Environmental Monitoring of the Air Basin”;
author of more than 30 scientific publications, including articles in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science;
in 2014, became a laureate of the IV Innovation Convention in Almaty, presenting the project “Platform Robot”, aimed at developing and implementing innovative solutions in the field of mechatronics and robotics. This project received high expert recognition for its relevance, originality of engineering solutions, and practical significance for the development of intelligent robotic systems;
enhanced his qualifications at the Laboratory of Robotics and Mechatronics (LARM) of the University of Cassino (Italy), which contributed to the introduction of advanced international practices into domestic science;
currently, he is a research associate in the grant-funded project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Development, research, and industrial testing of mathematical models and intelligent control algorithms for technological processes in the production of high-quality phosphoric acid” (2023–2025, project supervisor – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor B.A. Suleimenov).
