Professional biography

Main areas of scientific research: 1) monitoring of environmental objects; 2) development of low-waste and waste-free technological processes; 3) purification of process solutions; 4) recycling of industrial, agricultural and household waste; 5) development of organic farming based on vermicomposting to obtain environmentally friendly agricultural products; 6) creation of bio-products based on the use of secondary resources.

Founder of the scientific school "Environmental Protection and Rational Use of Natural Resources" (diploma of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences). ‘Best University Teacher 2012’.

Scientific consultant and supervisor of 2 successfully defended doctoral theses, 5 PhDs in philosophy, 11 candidate theses, more than 45 master's theses and many diploma theses of students.

The number of published works is more than 450, including 12 articles in Scopus database journals, 7 monographs (Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan) in English, Russian and Kazakh languages, 4 terminological dictionaries, 1 environmental encyclopedia, 15 textbooks and teaching aids, more than 20 patents (International, Russian, Eurasian, Republic of Kazakhstan).

Professor at Satbayev University from September 2025 to present.

1972 – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, specializing in electrochemistry and analytical chemistry;

1979-1980 – Leningrad Technological Institute named after Lensovet, specializing in "Physicochemical properties of surfactants";

1992 – D.I. Mendeleyev Moscow University of Chemical Technology. Doctor of Engineering Sciences in "Environmental Protection and Rational Use of Natural Resources" (decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Council of Ministers of the USSR);

1996 – Professor in the specialty "Chemistry" (decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan);

2016 – Academician of the National Academy of Natural Sciences of Kazakhstan;

2017 – Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
