Professional biography

Bukenova Mereke Sailaubekovna – Master of Engineering Sciences, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at KazNITU named after K.I. Satpayev. In 1998, she graduated with honors from KazNTU named after K.I. Satpayev with a degree in Design, Construction, and Operation of Gas and Oil Pipelines and Gas and Oil Storage Facilities and was invited to teach at the Department of Machines and Equipment for Oil and Gas Fields at KazNTU.

Since 1999, she began working as an intern-teacher at the Department of Machines and Equipment for Oil and Gas Production, since 2000 as a teacher, then as a senior teacher at the Department of Design, Construction and Operation of Gas and Oil Pipelines and Gas and Oil Storage Facilities, and since 2019 as a lecturer at the Department of Petroleum Engineering at KazNITU named after K.I. Satpayev.

In 2002, she completed a research and teaching internship at the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University in Ufa, Russia.

In 2005-2006, she worked as a regulatory documents expert for the Main Dispatch Directorate of the Oil and Gas Industry (Astana).

In 2019, she participated in the development of test assignments for college teachers on the subject of "Gas and Oil Pipelines and Their Operation", State Enterprise "National Testing Center" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2021 to 2024, she studied for a doctorate in ЕP 8D07202 - "Petroleum Engineering" at KazNITU.

During her studies, she completed research internships at the Saint Petersburg State Marine Technical University (Saint Petersburg, Russia, 2023) and at Ozenmunaigas JSC (Zhanaozen, 2024), and at the branch of TestCom Caspian LLP (Aktau, 2024) according to the dissertation topic “Research and improvement of technology and equipment for cleaning oil wells.”

 Since 2024, she has worked as a research fellow in the Geodynamics Laboratory of the K. I. Satpayev Institute of Geological Sciences.

Mereke Sailaubekovna specializes in the design, construction, and operation of main pipelines, and in the field of hydrodynamic cleaning of the bottomhole zone of oil and gas wells. Lectures on the following subjects: Design and operation of main pipelines; Design and operation of gas and oil storage facilities; Design and operation of oil and gas facilities; Pumping and compressor stations; Methods for improving the efficiency of gas and oil pipelines. H-index according to Scopus database – 2.

Bukenova M.S. is participating in the implementation of research work on the project “Development of geodynamic models of the structure of the Syr Darya and North Torgay sedimentary basins and the development of a project for regional geological exploration work”, Based on the results of the project, articles are being prepared for journals included in the Scopus database and recommended by the Committee for Control and Forensic Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and she is also working on a doctoral dissertation.

Actively collaborates with training centers for advanced training of production workers in the oil and gas industry, such as the Business Development Center, the HSBS business center, and the training center of the Caspian Public University (Almaty) as a business trainer.

She is the author and co-author of over 20 scientific papers, three electronic textbooks, and one teaching aid. She has been repeatedly awarded the Certificate of Honor and Letter of Gratitude from KazNITU for her dedicated work in training highly qualified specialists.
