Professional biography

Education

From 2015 to 2019, she studied at K. I. Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Technology (5B072300 – Technical Physics). From 2019 to 2021, she completed a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences (7M05301 – Applied and Engineering Physics) at the same university. From 2022 to 2025, she has been a PhD student at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan, specializing in Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies in Chemistry (8D07113).

She completed an international scientific training in Brussels (Belgium) within the NATO project No. G5636 “Valorization of biomass waste into high efficient materials for CBRN protection”, as well as a two-month research internship on the topic “Polymer-based Nanocomposites Reinforced with Semiconductor MOx Nanoparticles and Carbon Nanostructures for Toxic Gases Detection”. She is also a co-supervisor of a startup project within the GCIP UNIDO (Global Cleantech Innovation Programme) acceleration program implemented with the support of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Among her achievements is winning the International College Students’ Innovation Competition (Central Asian Regional Competition), where the project “Functional Electrospun Membranes for Advanced Gas Sensors” received a bronze award. She also won the national competition “Jas Kenes 2025” in the nomination “Bılım jäne Ğylym”. Imash A.A. was awarded a Republican award (Diploma of the II degree) for the best scientific works among university students (2023).
