BR24992820 "Innovative medical technologies and devices to improve surgical interventions in prosthetics and rehabilitation in the field of orthopedics and medical rehabilitation"

Relevance

The effectiveness of the program is manifested in improving the accuracy and safety of surgical interventions through the introduction of robotic systems and modern data processing algorithms, improving patient rehabilitation through the development of exoskeletons and prostheses, as well as reducing treatment time and costs.

The creation of innovative medical technologies contributes to improving the quality of life of patients, personalizing treatment and strengthening the position of domestic developments in the international market.

Purpose

The aim of the program is to develop and implement innovative medical technologies and devices to improve surgical interventions in prosthetics and rehabilitation in the field of orthopedics and medical rehabilitation.

Expected and achieved results

The concept of a collaborative robot manipulation system and an adaptive control system to support basic movements has been developed. Mathematical models and algorithms have been developed for analyzing medical images and recognizing anatomical features of patients. Laboratory studies and 3D modeling of the basic components of the devices, including the exoskeleton and prosthetics, were carried out, considering biomechanics and ergonomics. A prototype software for reconstruction of three-dimensional models of organs based on medical images has been developed. The results obtained have scientific novelty due to the use of adaptive control algorithms, high-precision segmentation and rendering methods, as well as the integration of robotics and artificial intelligence in the development of medical devices.
