AP22684296 "Materials with improved thermophysical properties for 3D printing from plastic waste and assessment of the possibility and degree of degradation in the soil"

Relevance

The project aims to create a new composite material for 3D printing by recycling plastic waste, which helps to reduce the environmental burden, develop a closed-loop economy and expand the possibilities of resource reuse.

Purpose

Obtaining a material with improved thermal and physical properties from plastic waste by mixing them with various additives, which can be used as a raw material for 3D printing, and checking the resulting material for the possibility and degree of degradation in the soil.

Expected and achieved results

The collection, analysis and systematization of data on polymers, plastic waste and nanoparticles, which can improve certain properties of selected plastic waste, has been carried out. A database of additives has been created that can supposedly improve the quality of plastic waste. Composite granules for 3D printing based on plastic debris were obtained with the addition of a primary polymer and/or other polymers and/or non-plastic waste and/or nanoparticles using a double-screw extruder.
