AP22685758 "Zeolite-containing modified concrete for monolithic construction"

Relevance

The project is aimed at creating environmentally safe and economically profitable concrete using zeolite, which partially replaces cement, improves strength and performance characteristics, and increases resistance to aggressive external conditions. This is especially important in the context of the sustainable development of the construction industry in Kazakhstan.

Purpose

The aim of the project is to establish scientific and practical principles and patterns of the processes of structure formation and hardening of cement mortars and concretes with chemical additives based on local and mineral raw materials; to study the mechanisms of action of chemical and mineral additives and their main components on the kinetics of hardening, frost resistance of cement compositions and concrete.

Expected and achieved results

12 compositions of concrete mixtures have been developed using the mineral additive zeolite and the use of plasticizing (polycarboxylate) and complex chemical additives. In the compositions, the use of a mineral additive in the form of zeolite ranges from 5%-15% by weight of cement, while taking into account the replacement of cement, which contributes to the production of a stable building material. The physicochemical properties of a mineral additive - zeolite from the Changkanai deposit (Almaty region) have been studied The preliminary defense of the doctoral thesis is expected on November 22, 2024. The announcement is posted on the university's website https://official.satbayev.university/ru/massmedia/obyavlenie-o-predvaritelnoy-zashchite-phd-doktorskoy-dissertatsii-tolegenovoy-aygerim-kayratovny
