AP22788965 "Development of methods for assessing the remaining resource and repair of Kazakhstan's gas transmission lines"

Relevance

The project is relevant due to the deterioration of Kazakhstan's main gas pipelines, the high risk of corrosion damage and the need to improve the reliability and safety of the gas transmission system. Modern monitoring and forecasting methods make it possible to identify defects in a timely manner, reduce accidents and optimize operating costs.

Purpose

Creation of a monitoring and control system for main gas pipelines in Kazakhstan, which will allow timely identification of pipeline sections with an increased risk of corrosion failure, as well as optimize planned repair work.

Expected and achieved results

It is planned to develop a methodology for calculating the mechanical properties of materials based on the theoretical foundations of mechanics, elasticity theory, mathematical analysis and hydromechanics. In addition, the methodology will use numerical methods for solving problems, including the finite difference method and the finite element method.
