Professional biography

Bakhytuly Nauryzbek from 2013 - 2016 worked in the field of education, teacher of physics at Almaty Technical and Economic College of Railway Transport.

From 2016 to the present Bakhytuly N. works in JSC ‘Institute of Metallurgy and Enrichment’ (IMIO) in the laboratory of physical methods of analysis. During his work, he has worked his way up from a leading engineer to the head of the laboratory. His duties include carrying out analytical work and experiments, preparing their description and formulating conclusions, studying scientific and technical information, preparing reports on completed tasks, as well as participating in writing sections of scientific and technical reports and articles. Bakhytuly N. actively improves his scientific qualification and professional skills, takes part in grant and programme-targeted projects.

Bakhytuly Nauryzbek in IM&E mastered the work on analytical instruments, such as: X-ray diffractometer D8 Advance from Bruker, electron microscope JXA-8230 from JEOL, X-ray fluorescence spectrometer Axios from PANalytical and thermal analyser STA 449 F3 Jupiter.

His research interests are in the field of wear-resistant coatings based on carbide, nitride and carbonitride metal compounds, flexible solar cells, synthesis of carbon nanostructures and thin films, chromium wear-resistant cast irons.

Education

- In 2013, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Technology of New Materials.

- In 2015, he graduated with a Master's degree from the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, specialising in ‘6M074000-Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology’.

- In 2019, Bakhytuly N. graduated from PhD-doctoral studies of the Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev in the specialty ‘6D071000 - Materials Science and Technology of New Materials’ and on 10 July 2023 successfully defended his doctoral dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy PhD on the topic: ‘Study of the formation of the structure and properties of wear-resistant coatings of titanium carbonitride when alloying them with various elements’. Bakhytuly N. underwent an internship at the Science University of Malaysia in Penang as part of the research for his doctoral thesis. At the end of the internship he was awarded a certificate of advanced training in recognition of his work.

The main results of scientific research are reflected in more than 30 scientific papers (articles, reports at international and national conferences, patent for utility model), including for the last 5 years there are 10 scientific publications, including 8 articles indexed by Scopus and Web of Science bases.
