Area of scientific research:
Conducted research on the structure and physicochemical properties of polyelectrolytes, as well as on complexation processes. The main attention was paid to the synthesis and study of polyelectrolyte hydrogels and interpenetrating meshes. The physicochemical properties of polyampholites based on various copolymers were studied in detail. She investigated the processes of complexation and the nature of forces stabilizing the compact state of polyampholyte at the isoelectric point (IET). For the first time she synthesized polymer gels and interpenetrating meshes using radiation copolymerization based on linear polyampholites. She identified the behavior of linear and cross-linked polyampholites, as well as interpolymer reactions involving amphoteric polyelectrolytes. She was involved in the issues of soil contamination by oil and its refined products. Within the framework of this activity, she conducted research on methods of soil cleaning from hydrocarbon contamination and regeneration. Participated in the development of environmentally safe and effective technologies aimed at soil remediation. She is engaged in the issues of natural and wastewater treatment, development of new treatment methods with the use of interpolymer systems, their creation, study of properties and use for the extraction of rare, dispersed elements from industrial effluents.
