Professional biography

Saparkhojayeva Nurgul Pazharbekovna has been working as a senior lecturer at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University since 2002, in 2001-2003 she worked as a lecturer at Kazakh-American University, and began her professional career in 2000 as a teacher at the Department of English Philology of KyzSU.

Saparkhojayeva Nurgul Pazharbekovna graduated from the full course of PhD-doctoral studies in the specialty “Translation Studies” at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 2014. In 2001 she entered Master’s Studies at al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the specialty “Theory of language” and in 2003 she graduated with honors, having successfully defended her master’s thesis on the topic “Foreign language borrowings in the language of the media (based on the material of the Kazakh media in 1991-2001)”. From 1996 to 2000 she studied at KSU with a degree in Translation Studies and graduated with honors.

Saparkhojayeva N.P. is constantly improving her professional level. In July-August 2013, she completed a scientific internship at Columbia University (USA); After completing language program “Academic English”, she received a certificate confirming the acquisition of knowledge necessary for teaching English to schoolchildren and students.

Saparkhojayeva N.P. is a grant-holder of Erasmus Mundus MANECA program for academic staff and has completed a scientific and teaching internship at the University of Philosopher Constantine in Nitra (Slovakia) in 2011.

Education

2023, August - 2024, May - a research internship at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (the USA) within the framework of the program of the Bolashaq Center for International Programs "500 Scientists".

2013, July-2013, August – a scientific internship at Columbia University (the USA); language courses "Academic English", a certificate indicating the acquisition of knowledge necessary for teaching English to schoolchildren and students.
