AP23484034 "Development of a methodology for assessing quality, risk situations and decision-making when fixing borehole walls in difficult conditions"

Relevance

Cementing technologies play a key role in ensuring the reliability and durability of oil and gas wells during exploitation. As geological conditions become more complex and well depths increase, the requirements for cementing quality also rise. Improving the methodology for assessing cementing quality and managing the risks of emergency situations is crucial for enhancing well operation efficiency and preventing accidents. The development of new cementing technologies and systems that take all factors into account could significantly reduce the risks associated with the loss of well integrity and strength.

Purpose

Improving the effectiveness of well wall anchoring based on improving the methodology of the quality assessment system for cementing and disaster risk management.

Expected and achieved results

An evaluation of the current state of research on the analysis and regulation of cement slurry compositions and the enhancement of wellbore wall stabilization was conducted. Studies were carried out to substantiate the main principles and tasks related to improving cementing operations. A critical analysis of the development and implementation of various cementing systems and technologies was performed, along with an analysis of the experience of applying these technologies for wellbore stabilization. Dependencies between the quality indicators of cement slurries and their compositions were studied, confirming the necessity of experimental research on the impact of additives and their concentrations on cementing quality.
