Scientific projects

Scientific projects

Marat Nurguzhin is actively engaged in scientific projects related to space research and technology in Kazakhstan. The main work was carried out within the framework of the National Centre for Space Research and Technology (NCCRT). Under his leadership, projects are being implemented to monitor natural and man-made threats using space technologies, including the creation of digital elevation models and hydrometeorological data. It has also developed an emergency call system for accidents, improved technologies for drought prevention and the creation of biohazard maps. The Centre is actively involved in the development and refinement of nanosatellites, such as KazSciSat, for scientific research and monitoring.

In addition, projects include monitoring of the upper crust of the Earth and the use of satellite technology for disaster forecasting and oil prospecting. One achievement is the development of a software package for tracking space debris and satellites, which minimises risks to national communications satellites.
