Scientific projects

Significant land areas are withdrawn from the needs of the national economy during the development of mineral deposits in the open way. An industrial site, quarry and dump, technological roads and tailings are located in these areas when conducting open-cast mining.

As a result, open-pit mining is disrupting land areas, affecting agriculture, the geological environment and the natural landscape. Timely reclamation of disturbed mining lands is the responsibility of subsoil users. Currently, the size of the disturbed open-pit mining land at mining enterprises is increasing due to the mismatch of mining and reclamation works. In this regard, the development of deposits raises the problem of reclamation of disturbed lands on the basis of finding rational ways to manage it. Therefore, with a comprehensive study of reclamation works at open-pit mines and as a result of rational management of their implementation, the possibility of reclamation of disturbed lands appears.

When performing scientific works, complex methods and methods of research were used, which include system approaches and standard methods of structural and Botanical research.

Determination of the sizes of the areas of disturbed lands on the basis of mining and geometric analysis allows, depending on the volume of mining operations, to rationally store rocks and fertile soil layer in dumps.

Justification of the technological scheme of selective placement of overburden rocks in accordance with their suitability for reclamation during external dumping increases the degree of recultivation of the surface of the dump.

Improvement of methods of effective phytorecultivation with the use of endomycorrhizal fungi and calcium in the restoration of disturbed lands in open-pit mines.
