The purpose of the project:
The project is aimed at studying, identifying socio-economic, environmental, architectural and planning foundations for the development of urban agglomerations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, developing recommendations for making managerial and design decisions.
Relevance:
The topic is being studied comprehensively for the first time for sovereign Kazakhstan and is aimed at creating scientifically based principles of territorial organization of existing and emerging urban agglomerations, taking into account the specifics of local conditions in various regions of the republic. For the first time in Kazakhstan practice, the results of a large-scale questionnaire survey of the population and remote sensing data are used for this purpose.
The work has social significance – it allows us to predict the sustainable development of relatively new, promising forms of settlement in modern Kazakhstan – within the boundaries of developed and emerging urban agglomerations with great potential for a comprehensive solution of socio-economic problems, creating favorable conditions for the livelihoods of urban and rural populations of cities and towns of Kazakhstan, economic recovery due to the rational placement of production, transport and social infrastructure. Thus, the work contributes to the implementation of the most important state programs aimed at making the Republic of Kazakhstan one of the 50 most developed countries in the world.
